Day 1



This will mark the beginning of something I expect to not be an easy trip for me.  I am an average person although I weigh as much as two men.  

I have decided to try blogging about again.  On my home page I have links to my other blogs.   The record on this blog will allow me to see where my successes and failures are.  I do have a couple of other records but for the most part they are private but will contain the same information as this page. This page, being public, will also allow others to monitor what I am dong and maybe offer suggestions when they see I can use them and believe me I will be open to help.

Today I  did have a small victory.  I had to stop at Costco and buy a couple of things and I did not buy a Polish Dog from their deli and that is one of my favorite things to do. 

I started on this adventure with an 1800 calorie allowance daily.  I am 6 foot 3 inches tall, large build. My shirt size is 4X, my pants are 58 inches, wow almost five feet around.  I am as big around as my sister in law is tall.  I am in trouble.

This journey is not going to be easy but it will be do able.

The grand total for today is 1,706 calories.  I never did really feel hungry today, which was nice.  I did not meet my goal of 10,0000 steps, I only managed about 8,700.  I will try harder tomorrow.  I will try my best to keep this updated daily.  Thanks for taking time to read it.
